Actually, I know it's not an either/or... I've always been a huge Illusione fan, but lately multiple incarnations of Viaje have been incredibly persuasive - I think I may require an intervention. Dion Giolito, please forgive me!

Have not been impressed by anything Viaje in sometime. Not buying anything from him.
Did you see the review @ halwheel for the new DES, what a farkas./

For my money Illusione is the Fuente of boutique brands. Consistently very good.

Viaje has had some higher highs and too many farking lows. Oh and high prices + only LE can kiss my honkey white azz.

Illusiones are wonderful, and I have to say the Viaje Super Lance, Holiday Blend and Donkey Droppings ( of which, IIRC, Dub sent me a few), are stellar. But I do appreciate the input...

Yup ^

Got a fiver from Rahul last week, along with samplers of 6 others from Viaje. The DES is pricey 85$ for 5. Also picked up a box of Intemperance BA xxi Envy, that I am pretty impressed with so far. Still feeling my way through the Viaje line, only time will tell. Illusione on the other hand has a great lineup.

Not a big fan of Viaje, though I have not tried the DES or the DES2. However, I did torch an Illusione 888 this afternoon at my local and I will definitely be come back for seconds...and thirds, etc.

I dig the Viaje Exclusivo line, but haven't been too impressed with many others. But still have to do the OR DES vs DESII comparison. I consider the Exclusivo lancero to be much better than the Illusione HL (mad or nat), but have heard mixed reviews on the Super Lance. Some saying it's an air ball in comparison. Have not sought them out.

I really dug the Donkey Dropping, but they've not been able to replicate it again. Great smoke but one-hit wonder. I look for consistency across the brand. In that respect I have to give it to Illusione. They are consistently a great smoke.
