I'm going to be in New Orleans for the next week, I'm looking for places where you can get a decent meal and have a cigar - any recommendations?

The two I've found are:
Arnaud’s Restaurant
Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop

Others?

Lots of great places.

There was a thread about 2-3 weeks ago about someone going on a honeymoon in NOLA. Lots of great suggestions.

Do you need places in walking distance or will you be able to drive, both for lunch and dinner?

I'm going to have a rental car, and use cabs if I've had a drink.

Start out with a nice IPA at the Industry Bar, then walk to New Orleans Cigar Factory for a nice natural leaf cigar, then go to SoBou for a great dinner, then go to the Monteleone Carousel Bar for great live music and ambiance, then to the GoldMine for a great time drinking and having fun, then to Yo Mammas Bar and Grill for a peanut butter hamburger to soak up some of the alcohol. Go back to the hotel and piss in the elevator, puke, go to sleep, then wake up and go to the Ruby Slipper for a great breakfast then do it all over again.

IIRC, lannyflaherty lives in Nola.

I haven't seen him post in a while, you might wish to send him a PM.

If any of you will be around Bourbon street Wednesday night, I'll buy the first round!

I'm tempted, but I have to work Thursday AM. Not sure I want to go out drinking and have to drive an hour north when done.

I'm on call Wednesday. I can't make that either.

There are many cigar friendly establishments, bars, nightclubs ect. Most places in and around the French Quarter are cigar friendly, but, no smoking in restaurants.

Check out Lafitte's. I've enjoyed a few cigars there.

I ended up Arnauds for dinner, and now I'm in their cigar bar French 75, it's nice, but I just paid $12 for a Fuente Short Story. Great atmosphere though!

...you may be right, although I couldn't bring myself to actually follow them into "The Live Love Show" bar.

Last night was such a success that I'm back at French 75 with my friends Basil Haden and Montecristo... They're a nice bunch!

Was in NO Jan '12, and had a nice smoke in Harrah's. Actual gambling was another matter. TCB.
