Ok, last ditch effort to salvage some poker fun here. A buddy of mine is in a real money poker league and it got me to thinking about doing one here. Here is what I am thinking:

An upfront buy in (like fantasy football). It can be 10, 15, 20 cigars...whatever we decide. All buy ins will be collected upfront by me.

We play online 2 times a month. Maybe the 1st and 3rd Wednesday or Thursday of each month for 6 months for a total of 12 games. We can use the software we currently use or if someone has a better idea I am all ears.

You will receive points after each game depending on where you finished based on a sliding scale.

I will keep a running tally of the standings and email everyone after each game so we all know where we stand.

At the end the top X places will be paid out based on the number of entries we have.

This way we are not losing cigars each week and it will only cost you 10-20 cigars to play 12 games of poker.

I say we need at least 10 to make this worth while.

I prefer Thursday myself since it is usually a late night and the next day is Friday.

i would be glad to donate to another poker game.....or 12...whatever. count me in

is there a way we can have something like 2 throw away games? basically only your top ten finishes count toward the final score. that way you are not out of the running if life happens and you miss a game or two.

Right now I'm in Owensboro Kentucky (drove here from Tupelo MS), yesterday I was in Tupelo Mississippi, Tuesday I flew into Memphis and drove to Tupelo, tomorrow I fly to Houston and then on to Denver, dayum it's been a crazy week!! 🐴 🐴 [frypan] [frypan]
