I want to try infusing some cigars for the fun of it. They will be infused in four groups of five as follows. Cinnamon, Coaco, Coffee, and Apple. My question is this, would you use mild cigars or cigars with the flavor profile of the infusion.

Use a Gurkha. They're rather tasteless to begin with. Especially if you are trying to infuse the elusive "turd" flavor profile that so many enjoy.

Mild.

yep.

One of the Bricks and Mortars I go to has a jar of unknown sticks that have been soaked in Jack Daniels from which they are selling singles.

I have thought once or twice that I should give that a try with some sticks that are too mild to suit me.

I haven't tried it because I don't wanna waste the Jack Daniels.

I doubt it would be worth the effort and am not into infused cigars. I didn't buy a single cause I can't imagine I would like it.

I would rather sip Jack Daniels than smoke it.

This is the second or third thread like this in the last couple of months, for f**ks sake just do a search, and even better just buy an infused cigar, it is going to be much better than your little diy project.

Go with mildest cigar you own but don't really care for. If the first batch works on them and you think its an improvement, then think about buying cigars just to infuse.

Take your humidifier, fill it with cranberry juice, use that with a tasteless stick like non Cuban montecristos.

Since you seem full of it I think there is better use for Cranberry juice. Give yourself an enema. Maybe it will improve your disposition.

My bad, many articles on how to infuse a cigar, none on type of cigar to use. Going to a party where theme is to bring something handmade. Want to pove infused cigars do not have to be sugar bomb. 1st 3 choices are cigar flavors. 4th choice for females at party. Not looking for input on how to infuse a cigar, looking for input on what type of cigar to infuse. Did search and found no useful information. Thought someone might have practical knowledge. also 1st post and expected better.

First let's look around at our surroundings. Most of the folks around here are manly men. There are a few exceptions, but you'll have to out them yourselves. We also have a few strong willed women that TRY to keep us in line.

Had you taken the time to get to know the community you would have noticed that the very, very few threads regarding infused smokes end up in flames before the end of the first page. As such, I doubt if more than a few folks around here smoke infused cigars. My guess is of that very small minority an even smaller minority infuse them themselves.

On the other hand, had you asked about making home made spirits you may have had better luck. I'm sure a few folks could point you to some educational tutorials.

With that out of the way I'll try to offer you a little insight. This endeavor you speak of would be an exercise in seeking balance. Therefore, should you wish to infuse cigars with subtle flavors you would need to start off with a subtle flavored cigar. Search the web for mild smokes as very few folks here smoke what we refer to as air balls.

If you wish to infuse stronger flavors then you would want to select a medium bodied smoke so the tobacco flavor comes through what ever flavor you infuse. Stronger still, a heavy bodied smoke.

Not that difficult.

If on the other hand, if you are infusing cigars with the hopes of getting a female to drop her panties for you, you may need aback up plan. If you can't convince a female to bed you based on you charm and wit, I don't think a praline flavored cigar is gonna do it for you.

But, YMMV.
