I was reading some review about the effects of aging a box of cigars. The guy would smoke a stick from a new box he had no prior experience with every week for a month, then every month until six, and then every six months and write about each experience, if it's getting better, flavor profiles and blah blah blah. The problem I had with the guy (who was all over the map with his opinions) was that with each smoke he reviewed, he had something different to drink with the cigar. Drove me friggin' nutz. One time it'd be a diet Dr. Pepper, next time some piss water IPA, then a glass of red wine, then a sweet tea. It had to screw with the cigar every time he lit one up.
