Anyone have any 65% HF beads to get rid of? Have plenty to trade. Figured I'd check here first before I buy some.

I've got an 18 bottle wineador with a lb inside and I'm getting 67% steady as a rock. My problem is my 60-qt tote for box storage...It's between 70-73%

I think the seal is the source of the problem. I suppose I could just get a cooler. I have a lb in there also.

You don't need more beads, you need a better seal. I have a 150 quart Igloo, that is rock steady, with a lbs of 65% beads. 60 quarts should be good with 1/2 lbs of beads.

He went through almost all of the last big order he made, not sure if he's planning another anytime soon.

HF is fine if you don't mind spending the money, or don't have the time to "acclimate" the beads to the desired rh.


Honest to goodness, I talked to the Engineer at Sorbent Systems. They make the bulk beads for almost all these end users.

My Ultra Pearl cat litter looks EXACTLY like the museum beads that roaster gets, only they may have been subjected/accimated to a mineral salt (possibly cobalt CL, not good, museums don't plan on using or smoking what's inside that case!) to help "hold" a particular rh, although they still occasionally need a check and some distilled water, right?


I've had no problems or complaints on my gifts, and my cigars smoke just fine. ONLY the original ultra pet cat litter pearls (original in the 7 lb bag) are the correct ones that will work, and are identical to all other silica gel beads, except for the lees stringent size requirements


As for the dust, they clear that out at the end user. I'm cutting out the middle man, and since I have time to acclimate the beads at my leisure, it's much cheaper to get 7# for $25.

I buy the biggest cheap box of Knee-hi's and put whatever amount i need, or just put a few bags in the coolidor, they can be easily fit into any spot/area.

Anybody have experience using these in a cabinet humidor? Thinking about swapping out my Oasis.

Should work fine, works great in either a full or fairly empty colidor, provided you have a good bit of cedar, either by way of boxes or trays and sheets.

They work in my desktop as well.
