This question may have been asked before, please excuse me if so. Has anyone ever turned a regular old closet in their home into a humidor? Lined the walls, ceiling and floor with Spanish cedar and wheeled an electric Oasis machine in there?

That's a lot of Spanish cedar. It's very pricey by me, and you'll need to seal the door. Easiest way would be an exterior metal door that is prehung with a threshold and magnetic seal.
I'd look into formaldehyde free plywood and concealed standards, metal brackets, and cedar shelving. Keep everything in cedar boxes

No fabrics, ie carpet and such, and don't mix up your cedars. As you know, spanish cedar isn't cedar at all. It's in the mahogany family.

That's a good point... it wouldn't have to necessarily be all Spanish cedar. Even a prehung glass door might be nice.

Glass exterior with really good seals....... I think he mentioned the magnetic seal to ensure the door pulls closed tightly every time.

The problem is that you would have to come out of the closet every time you grabbed a cigar.

i just finished one, used basement water barrier paint, 5 coats, cedar false bottom for the beads, 3 shelves for boxes, 3 display shelves at the top angled down. this weekend ill make some drawers for the middle. custom built door, dual pane 1/8 inch glass framed into birch if i recall.
finding the wood and having the right tools is 90% of the battle

Pretty sure PoolQ has a humidor closet he converted and I know Charlie does also. Charlie used wire shelving in his so the air would flow freely. I know the search function sucks on this forum but maybe 10 years back, Charlie posted pictures of his. Come to think of it, pretty sure Pool posted some pics of his too. I remember stacks and stacks of Opus X. 🤤 🤤
