My #1 favorite is the RP Decade and 20 cigars were just acquired via the FreeFall type auction at $39.82 x 2.

Do any Vets/Pros want to trade their $4 favorites for one or two? These are going to work out at around $4.25 a stick. I don't want to go in the hole with you guys. I don't have any money to buy more stuff to send back other than the equal trade. But would also like to try what you guys think is good.

That is, of course, fine if nobody wants to trade. I've got a lot of RP Decades and Vintage 1992 which are the preferred smokes. You can buy these for cheap here on CBid instead of trading. Just wanted to see what you guys liked at the same price point. But that would most likely be a losing trial compared to the Rocky Patels.

I do love me some kettle corn, get a bag twice a year: at the tractor show and the fair.

So is the Decade the best Rocky Made?

I can't speak from experience but it seems to be the general consensus from my investigations

There are much worse cigars than RP's... they're called Gurkha's...

Yeah, no one is saying RP are bad

((shrug)) I'm still pretty fond of ITSFM, esp in smaller RGs. I wouldn't go so far as to say that RP made ANY of the best out there, though. Pretty darn good for day-to-day, but nothing in any of his lines are spectacular or special.

Thanks illinichaser. If you want a Decade, it'll be sent to you.

But I decided not to trade. Too many Longboard beers helped to formulate that bad idea yesterday. I'll still send a couple of you guys a Decade (after they arrive from the FreeFall auction) since the offer was made. But I don't want anything.

Not all the RP's have been tried. Just the 1990, 1992, the 15th Anniversary, and Decade. The 1992's have a great flavor but don't put out a lot of smoke. They seem to be packed too tightly (every one of them). The 15th Anniversary is just as good as the 1992 (but different flavor) and it smokes great. The Decade seems to be about the best. Excellent flavor and great draw. Tons of smoke.
