I've had those Gurkhas for quite a while. Smoked one or two about a million years ago.

Seems like they were very tasty.

That Bolivar has been around a long time too. The tube is open. I can't recall if it came in the tube or I just put it in there at some point to take it somewhere, but then it didn't get smoked.

I recall getting the RyJ's and the Cains, but I have no idea when I got that Upmann.

Minutes away from picking em up on FF a couple weeks ago and they sold out right before my eyes.

OK, I'm trying to find info on those Gurkhas in the glass tubes with the silver 'wax'.

I can't recall when or where I picked those up. I've probably had them close to 10 years. I'm gonna smoke one tonight.

It's about 7.5 inches by probably 52. Looks like a maduro. It just has a Gurkha label with no 'model' info.

I think these are cognac infused, but I don't know what they are specifically.

Any ideas?

If they got a lot of smoke and good flavor you hit the nail on the head

Well, I fired up one of the Gurkhas with the silver seal on Saturday night. I could definitely taste the 'extra' in it, but I couldn't tell you what the flavor was exactly. I just have to assume it's the cognac. And, it was -not- like a too sweet, infused candy stick. It was a subtle taste. It had an easy draw, a good amount of smoke, good flavor, and it burned razor sharp.

Another good Gurkha on my good Gurkha list. Just have the one left. Not sure if these are still available anywhere. Haven't found any info about them yet.

IIRC the silver ones were called Platinum something or another. Platinum Reserva? Platinum Gran Reserva?

Pretty sure they were cognac infused also. Can't remember if there was something else different between them and the bronze/copper wax ones besides the maduro wrapper. Different cognac (allegedly)? Different tobaccos? More limited? Not sure.

That's all I can really remember, hope it helps some.

I just took a copper one I have had for a few years and took it out of the glass tube. It was dry and cracked. I put it in my humidor hoping to bring it back to life. I hope it works.

Ok, so I was curious now. Since Cigarcyclopedia stopped being updated 3-4 years ago due to lack of advertiser funds but the site was picked up by a retailer for archive purposes, this is what was in the last released edition (2010 or 2011):
