I'm looking to buy a new humidor since the Capri that I bought last year has already lost its seal. I'm looking to get a mid-sized capacity humidor that is of a high quality.

Can anyone recommend which brands I should be considering?

How'd it lose a seal?
If glass top, try a little silicone sealer around the glass.
And...what's mid-size to you? How many cigars do you want to store? I think a desktop is fine....as long as you have coolers to back it up.

Can't comment on longevity but the 5Vegas I got is working perfectly

I think one that holds somewhere between 100-150 would be sufficient so I am looking at desktop humidors.

My current humidor is a glass top so I will try the silicone sealer.

Coleman and Rubbermaid also make good mid size humidors. Get a yeti, if you want to show it off.

The Carpri is certainly entry-level, but most (all?) distributors offer a one year warranty on it....so, I'd like to think it's fairly decently made. Check with whoever you bought it from to see if they'll honor the warranty. I say stick with the Capri (fixed or warranty replacement) and get a cooler for your 'back-stock'.

Most of the online models are essentially the same - decent - Chinese made, etc.
Coupel US makers that make nice, and expensive desktops.

If you're searching, look for a "G Watts" humidor.......excellent, albeit hard to find now.......so lucky I stumbled into mine......holds a legitimate 125 cigars.

I'm pretty happy with my Indulgence humidor that I got here (NOT FROM A COMPETITOR). Just a shade under $200, delivery included.

Tupperware with beads, RH stays perfect and cheap to buy.

Another vote for Igloo.

I did the igloo thing for.a while, but I don't buy that much anymore. I like my el diablo humidor. I also have a 100 count that I got here, but the name escapes me. The 50 count whitetail is good too. That's my 'on deck' humi.

Oh and try to avoid ebay. There's a couple of sellers on there that offer complete garbage. You'll see 400 count cabinets on there for 75 bucks shipped. Don't bother.

Boveda is going to be doing humidor efficiency review and ratings, keep an eye in them.

For a very well made high quality humidor, try Siglo. Not inexpensive but a lot less than Elie Bleu.
