I opened the top drawer of my Montague humi the other day. Hadn't had it open in several months. I was really surprised! This is some of the first cubans that I have ever seen plume. Have many non-cc's that plume almost regularly but generally not ever a cuban. I think I will just leave them that way for a while.....maybe add a few more right on top just to see where it all goes.
Not even sure what year those are but if I had to guess, I would say '07. I think I labeled them on the back side but didn't want to disturb them in such a lovely sleep.

Oh, it's mine all right. I don't have any idea why you would say that 🤔 unless you are a new guy and don't know much about me. Yes, I have a tower......well, kind of a tower. (6' x 4' x 2') It's directly across the room from the Montague. I have posted pics of it several times here.

Anyway, I know many here are always interested in knowing what plume looks like vs. mold. In my experience, it's really rare that a cuban ever plumes so hence the pic.

In the lower portion of the humi I am using a Cigar Oasis. Over the years I have always had a bit less humidity up in the drawer section for whatever reason. I have tried a couple of computer fans inside but that seems to just dry out everything a bit quicker. After a lot of trial and error, I have gone to these jars up in the drawer and turned off the fans. They seem to help out the drawer area a little better than the fans and seem to work well. With these bigger humi's, it seems to take a while to figure out the exact combination of where to place them and how much humidity to get everything just right.

We'll, it looks like your low humidity problem is solved.

I've never seen the foot of a cigar plume before nor uneven splotchy plume that's heavier right next to the humidifier and non-existent at the head.

Maybe it's just a bad photo, but are you sure that's plume?

TG, yup, 99.9% sure it's plume. I have never seen it like that either. Note on the right side of the picture, the Upmann's have the starting of plume on the tips. This I have seen. Only thing I can figure is that everything (humidity wise) was just right near those jars.

I just pulled one out or there and took my finger and brushed it lightly. It came right off with a couple light strokes and left a fine white powder residue on my finger. I took a pick of it after I brushed it. PM me your email and I will send it to you.

I'm no expert Ray, but I'm 99.9% sure that's cocaine... back in my 20's I sprinkled plenty of it on my herb...

on a side note, I noticed the behikes don't have any plume on them... clearly defective... I know a guy that can dispose of them for you...
