Dublehub turned me onto some silica beads but they need to be trained to whatever Rh you prefer. Super cheap but I cant figure out how to link on my tablet so I will pm it to you later if you like.

I use HCM. A little pricy but they are the best you can buy.

I have used heartfelt, kitty litter and one so far back I can't remember.

I also have some in with the active avollo humidifier. Due to the way the HCM beads work, I figure they make an excellent buffer to stabilize the humidity.

I have posted about them before here at CBID, IIRC.

They really do absorb at a far higher rate than others.

IMO, they as best described as "humidity stabilizer in an enclosed space"

You have to think about them a bit differently than other beads.
