I will take the Falcons -3, for a good fiver. Anyone want the Vikings?

Oh man, I'm really going to have to plug my nose on this one, but as a contrarian bettor I have to side with the books here and take the Vikings +3.

Let's hope this one turns out better than my last wager with you.

This is about the only game I even considered betting on. But even this is a stretch....hence the "good" fiver instead of a "premium" fiver like last weeks bet on the Boys.

Oh, was that a premium 5er? I hope my sticks qualified...I didn't see that part. I may well owe you, in which case I will make it up to you when Atlanta trounces Minnesota. I don't actually remember what I sent...

I'm mostly basing my bet on the fact that 90% of all bets are on Atlanta, and yet the line hasn't budged from 3.

Falcons win easily by 7

I think -7 would be too small. Atlanta should score 35 in this one and does Minnesota have any chance at scoring in the high 20s. Atlanta's D is bad but a rookie QB no RB of any value and 1 playmaker to take out of the game I like Atlanta big.

Minnesota certainly has their work cut out for them. I think that it would be too much to ask of Bridgewater to carry them without a running game. Atlanta should win.

Not looking good for Hotlanta.

I think it would hard to find much wrong with Bridgewater's start today. He got a lot of help in the running game from another rookie. He is a class act.

Great win for the kid, hope he's OK for next week.

Atlanta has always been a good home team and a bad road team. And their defense is just putrid this year. But what I really liked about this game was the lopsided betting percentages. Vegas was taking a stand on the Vikings, so I tagged along (while plugging my nose, as I said above). Sometimes the ugliest bets are the ones that win. I was also on the Buccaneers today.

Anyway, thanks for the action, Stinger.

Guess I gave this one the kiss of death. Didn't watch the game or see the highlights but I just can not see how they got beat like that.

If I had to pin it on one thing it would be Atlanta's terrible defense. They just couldn't get a stop all day. I think the Vikings punted once. They also missed a FG, but scored on every other drive, if I'm not mistaken.

I knew their defense was bad but who besides Patterson should they really have worried about stopping. My picks were horrible this week though so I guess that is saying something on what I know. I did take Dallas though and they are kicking some azz right now.

Haha, well I took NO, so I'm far from an expert on this kind of thing. But, one thing that has served me well over the past 5 years is to take Atlanta at home, and fade them on the road.

Ditto New Orleans. Somehow I forgot that lesson today...
