I have not been a big fan of CAO since it was sold off. However, the new Columbia with a Jamastran Rosado wrapper sounds very interesting.

Some of my favorite N/C smokes have a rosado wrapper such as the Fuente R44 and 858 Rosie.

Anybody tried these yet? Anybody gots?

It does sound interesting but the term "rosado' means the color of the wrapper and this wrapper is grown in
Honduras and probably nothing like the wrapper on Fuente's stuff....but i would still like to try a few.

I do wish you luck. However, the last CAO that I can recall truly enjoying was a 65th Anny. Probably around '06 or '07.

BTW Fuente does not grow the rosado wrappers they use IIRC they are grown by Oliva.

I think you're correct about the wrappers on the Fuente's, I believe Equadorian sungrown

I was gifted a robusto last night at my local - very nice flavor.

I have added them to the list of smokeable sticks - depends on the price point. in the 6 dollar or so range, I think New World by AJ Fernandez is better. In the 8 or so, Undercrown is better(IMO)

After trying a few they are okay as a yard gar but not something I would look for. Definitely not in the the same league with Fuente rosados.
