Never had a moldy cigar, so this is a new one for me and it’s freaking me out.

I recently got a box of older CC’s that are also in coffins. (Partagas culebras). So 3 intertwined cigars per coffin, and 3 coffins in the box. When I received them I put them in one of my large humidors that is kept at 64% and they weren’t removed from the box or coffins. They have been in the humidor for a few weeks now I guess.
I finally opened the coffins today to take a look and there is pretty severe mold on the cigars. I have both boxes and singles in this humidor and I’m not sure what to do. I don’t see mold on anything else but I don’t know what the chance of it is spreading. Do you think I’m safe since they were boxed X2 and didn’t come into any type of physical contact with any other smokes?

Any guidance would be appreciated!

contact the supplier and see if they will make it right. your other smokes will be fine. 64 isn't high enough to grow mold very well. I'm sure they showed up moldy

Too much conflicting info from a Google search damn it… Not sure it can be just brushed off as I see it in the foot also.

Get the ones with the mold out of your humidor,,,,,, like an hour ago. Brush the mold off and store in their own tupperdor,,,,, smoke them......... problem solved.

What color is the mold?

Just pair it with some bleu cheese and you'll be fine

If it's IN THE FOOT, I would NOT smoke them. Contact the seller, and be prepared for bullschit "It's plume!" response.

lol…thanks for all the replies gents. The seller is a forum member, I’m sure there was no ill intent. I have the cigars removed and in individual bags in the fridge, which seems the best interim response. No doubt it’s mold, long hairy mold. 😰

honestly, clip the foot a little and see what it looks like. If the mold just cropped up, it might not be too bad.
