I was surprised at how good this one was. No weird taste like I was expecting. Smoked good and tasted good.

My friend bought 2 robustos and 2 toros (I think) at a local B&M near his house. That B&M is just an open store with no closed-in humidor room. The whole, one room store is supposed to be humidified. But, some of the cigars that were displayed in open boxes looked dry and several had obviously cracked wrappers.

Anyway, so my friend smoked a toro and it was almost un-smoke-able. It was burning in the middle but not the wrapper. After a while he cut off an inch and a half or so and the innards were charred and fell out leaving a big hole in the middle of the cigar. So, he chucked that one into the chiminea and grabbed a Padron out of his humidor.

I guess I just got lucky with that robusto.

The other 2 Illusiones are resting comfortably in his humidor.

I guess I should look it up.. is claro and candela the same? I just remember my friend mentioned 'claro' as he grabbed them off the shelf.

Because it loves the environment?

+1... best candela I've had... buttery smooth... for a cheap candela I like the filthy hooligan...

I threw out a few candela related questions here a couple of years ago. Z pointed me toward the HL greenie and I believe his words were "pure butter." I would have to concur with his assessment.

Finally looked it up. It seems that 'double claro' is synonymous with candela.

The last green cigar I remember was way back in the Navy on Submarines. Whenever the cigarette guys got out of hand, I would whip out a Anthony and cleopatra green horse **** cigar and make the whole crew sea sick.:-&

Never ever thought of ever trying anything green again....hmm may be I should.:-k
