I've said before that Belichik is the genius. He may have come from the Parcells tree of coaching, but Parcells won his 2 SB's with defense. Defenses that Belichik coached. He won nothing when Belichik left. Belichik won 3 SB's and lost 2 more.
I know his detractors will say he cheated (a given that he filmed, but he wasn't alone), but he hasn't since it happened, and they are still wildly successful almost every year. Always in the mix, no matter who is on the roster.
