So... I stopped in at the Vets Hall after work and fired up the Jaime Garcia first. It was very windy. A lot of rain in the area. But it never really poured down, it was just a light sprinkling at the Vets Hall.
The Jaime smoked and tasted very good for the first inch or so, then it started tunneling real bad through the first third. I was like, dang it, what's up with that? I was squishing around on it to get through the tunneling and finally, through the last half it started smoking normally. The rest of it was was very good, but there was still some touching up I had to do. Last night's smokes were problematic also. But, this one was in a tupperdor, not the Verona the others were in, that I mentioned in another post.
After that I lit up the Arturo Fuente. Man, that was awesome good. It smoked normally and tasted great. No burn issues at all. Great flavor and draw and lots of smoke.
After that I fired up the Padron. As usual, it had that great Padron flavor and smoked perfectly. As a friend of mine in Texas says, "When I fire up a Padron, I wonder why I smoke anything else." ;-)
Also, I've been working on my retrohaling... usually, I get a brain numbing blast that takes a couple of minutes to get over. That happened with the Jaime. But, the Fuente and the Padron retrohales were very pleasant! I've been trying to go slow with that, but it seems that certain cigars are better than others for retrohaling.
