I'm not really big on details, so just let me say this........not my favorite cigar by a long shot. Just not for me. I'm not going to do the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. I'm just going to give my overall review of the stick.

This is a cigar without a personality, and that's pretty rare for me to say. Very mellow throughout (at least for the first half). Nothing overly special. I actually walked away from it half way through. Would I buy again.....no. I'm sure that there are people out there that will/do love this stick, more power to them. Will people receive this stick in a bomb.....yep. 🍺

I'd defiantly spend my money elsewhere. On a scale of 1 to 10, get's a 3....and that's just because it actually lit and had a decent burn.

Hey Chewy,
Not a good gurkha by far. you will find that gurkha is kicked around here quite a bit, but if you are diligent, you may find 1 or 2 that you actually enjoy and the prices are attractive for the most part. I have 2 or 3 different ones that I keep in the humi. Gurkha does have a great hype story though for each cigar. they are creative writers.

The OR Symphony was a fine mild to med cigar. The one produced today are just like a lot of the Gurkhas up for
auction.....just not nearly as good as the OR's.

There are some fine Gurkha's out there however, like the 125th annie, Shaggy, and the Cellar Reserve line is a
great cigar IMHO...

Have a few resting, but have yet to smoke one. There are a lot of good Gurkhas and a few terrible Gurkha's and a lot that are just mediocre. I bought some Gurkha Monograms a few years ago and smoked a couple pretty much ROTT and found them to be mediocre. Fired one up a year or so later and it was very good. Maybe a rest will help the Symphony, tho many of the Gurks I've had for a while do not seem to have improved much with age.

And then, like Anthony said, IF you find an Internet Gurkha you like, and buy a fiver:
-first one will be good........
-second one won't stay lit, and tunnel and/or canoe like nothing you've ever seen...
-third one will taste funny......then taste horrible as it plugs up, and then explodes...
-fourth one will burn OK, but simply taste bland....meh......like your smoking a newspaper...
-the fifth one will be OK, compared to the previous 3, but in reality, it was simply forgettable

I picked up a 5er. I have enjoyed a few Gurkhas. Particularly the Beast. This one however was not of those I enjoyed. It had an overpowering distinct flavor that can only be compared to earwax, yes earwax. I tossed it after about a third. Got the same off putting flavor from the 2nd stick. I tossed it after a few puffs.

I have been chastised for being a terrible captain for giving my crew Gurkhas. As I have explained I have a well trained crew. They know that there are sharks and crabs that are just dying for a Gurkha so if they don't like one, toss it to the fishes. Waddaya expect for under a buck. So if you get a good one look at it like winning the lottery, and if you dont, let is swim with the fishes. If you have a bunch you just have to deep six and there is no ocean around you, send them to my crew, Hell the worse thing that could happen is sharks start wheezing. We use them to anti in on poker games, bribe customs officials(did I say that?), deter our younger children from smoking by letting them have a Gurkha, trade them for immortal porposes, and if you are into interns, don't waste a good cigar on a cheap broad like Clinton did, use a Gurkha.

That being said, I know a Hawaiian guy who trades One Ton Chips for them, and I do not mean Palma.

Now to be fair to myself, I did wrangle up a bunch of Las Caliveras for the memorial service next cruise, and with the generosity and help of some of the BOTLs here have enough for the whole crew. I also am saving up some Tatuajes, and we are visiting Nick Perdomo in Nicaragua, and Carlito Fuente in the Dominican Republic, and if Congress does the right thing, Havana will be on our ports of call in the spring.

Try everything once and if you like it do it again. 🌫
