It's almost 9:00pm Christmas Eve where I am. Go to work here at midnight. Get off at 8:00am tomorrow, Christmas morning. Then I'll get some sleep, go eat at the chow hall around 4. And then head down to the Vets Hall. I'll take a handful of cigars to share, but I'll be taking these down just for me:

Christmas Eve: PAM64 beautiful warm afternoon after all shopping and wrapping done.

Christmas Day: PSD4 to keep me out of the kitchen while bride is busily prepping side dishes for afternoon celebration at my daughter's house in Carlsbad. I was "making" my signature rosemary bread (bread machine).

When I first got down to the Vets Hall on Christmas afternoon, I was surprised to see several people smoking cigars. One of the guys there was handing out Cuban Fonsecas. I got one of those and smoked it. It was a bit tight to start, but it just kept getting better. By the end of it... it was very good.

After that I lit up the Blanco. It was like night and day. The Blanco had so much more flavor. It met all of my well known criteria. If I had a choice between only the Cuban and the Blanco... I would definitely go with the Blanco!

We had nice warm weather in Boston for Xmas, so I took my kid to the park. He rode his bike and got chased by dogs. I read a mag and smoked a Trini corona....well aged. Nice floral and caramel notes to it. A fine day.
