✋ As a beneficiary of my vast (?) experience in smoking cigars, I pass on part of my litany of tobacco knowledge to noobs. The following is a list of things that are to be avoided, if possible.

Look at the ad copy. If it say that the cigar is:

An "everyday" cigar
Seconds
House Blend (some exceptions)
"Yard" gars
Mistakes
Rejects
Seconds or
Fumas

They are to be avoided at all costs unless you are suicidal or masochistic.

Some of the more experienced guys may have more advice.

Yeah, bidding against an APO is tough if not downright wrong. And agree seconds shouldn't always be avoided-did some sleuthing and picked up some AB Tempus lanceros dirt cheap that were quite good. Matter of fact, so good I'm not letting any nap for a year like I had planned.

If it says "Grade A trimmings" it may be a clue.

made that mistake once, stuff was crazy over priced for what it was. Some of the stick turned out alright though.

The 2nds are the one that really got me, the ones I got were just flavorless...

For the most part totally agree most of the phrases. ....found in corner of wharehouse.....they forget to metion there was 3 dozen cats usiing as litterbox ..maybe???hmmm...I do however think the nicuraguan sweets /2nds...or reg. are a decent cigar...I. usually see some inconsistent out of a pack just 2_3 I just throw in trash...but outta 3 orders all have been decent though imo they dont rest well if that makes sense???those I smoke sooner than later definitely seem alot better...just my opinion...

So you're saying you take your DRs, pull the bands off and put them in the ISOM boxes when clearing customs?

I would never (admit to) do such a thing!

Hope you're on the rebound, brother of a different mother.

BTW if "MB" of APO is online, please PM me as I saw you bid on these:

http://www.cigarbid.com/Auction/Lot/1915868/Nestor-Miranda-Doppelbok-Robusto-20/

I also bid on a lot at $4 and think I've overbid (and I'm stone cold sober).

MB, get us your addy and we'll ensure you and the B/SOTLs downrange have some better smokes than these. Even Gurk's are better-I plan on using mine if I win to kill gophers.
