Has there ever been a box pass race? Something like two teams of players between 5 and 10 guys/gals on each team. The box has to pass to all the players on a team and then back to the captain (player of origin). First captain to post that they have received the box following the completed cycle is the winning team. Losing team players then send out a 5er to a winning team player. The winning captain handles the pairings for the pay off.

Thoughts?

Some of those sneaky northeast basturds would select a team within driving distance, have a herf and exchange cigars...pass would be done in 2-3 hours.

Make it so there is an east coast and west coast player on each team. This way it crosses the map. Each arrival and departure has to posted to the thread for tracking and honest game play. With this group it would be advisable to have a referee!

That's great idea breakout.... east, midwest, west coast players on each team.... you have to drive it to the next person...... Road Trip Box Pass..... let's do it.

That is an interesting twist! I was thinking of using the postal system but road trips would be fun too. It would tough on the Californian who has to drive it back across country to the Floridian... lol

I won't listen to that sassy talk! We got North Shore, South Shore, 95 South, The Cape, MetroWest...cheating would be impossible. We're talking one, maybe two hours for everyone to get to the same place.

Hey, we're due for Round 2 in 4 months!

As with any new game we need a pool of players and a couple of veterans to captain the two teams. I'll throw my name into the draft. Any others interested?

LMFAO!!!
We're lucky we can complete one pass anymore without it getting ripped off, let alone 2 as a race.
Plus to be fair each box would have to travel the same number of miles, unless you tried an East Coast vs West Coast pass.
Good freakin luck wit dat…

When I first joined there would be 3-4 passes going at any one time. Not any more.

Box pass is when a single box of cigars of some sort go to a buncha people and you take-one, place-one at each stop around the route with it eventually returning to originator?

If so, i'm very interested in a simple version. Im probably a bad candidate for a race. Not so speedy alot as life gets in the way

I organized a pass like this for another board. I chose to race a SEC West box vs SEC East box, with participants representing each college. The most important thing was how quickly the participants could turn the box around after receiving it. The teams that were able to get the box shipped back out the same day or the next day obviously did better than those that sat on it for a week.
