So I arrived at the vault where the supplies for the ships crew arrive and there I found a box on Dales desk for me. I had requested some info on Fuente 858s for a business meeting with a book writer coming up this summer in Aspen Colorado. She is an 858 fan and I have sent her a few gars, but this meeting was too important for me to screw up so, Deadeye decided to play matchmaker and sent me 6 A Fuente cigars. 4 of them were 858 red band, and 2 were 858 black bands, and then he threw in 2 think they are Anejos.

I was expecting a pair of 858's but got knocked on my butt by 6. I bet I get lucky that weekend...hahahah[whip]

You might need a little info about those:

Black bands are 858 Sun Grown from 2005 (1st release was 2002 and they have been released very sporadically since then)

Red band 858s are rare Rosado wrappers 2nd release in 2010 (1st very limited release was 2002 so it might be many years before another)

Red band figurados are very rare Hemingway Rosado released in 2010 (only time Fuente ever released this cigar)

Holy awesome!! You better get lucky! If you need anymore 858s to choose from I've got the regular varieties at the local shop. I bought two each of sungrown, cameroon, and maduro over the weekend. Also saw some MPMs but didn't buy as its freezing right now and I couldn't think of smoking one of those outside but they looked damned cool.

They are secure and resting along side of the only Opus X I have, a Cohiba CC from 2008 I have had since new, and a Romeo and Julietta CC I got from OpForh so they are in good company.

DED is a very generous BOTL. That was a top notch smackdown there. He was not kidding about how rare those rosado hemis are. I have 2 from a fiver I bought years ago. I will not smoke them, until I get a chance to purchase more.
