Well, didn't get to the LFD. Started off with the Fausto. Man, it was very good. The first one I had was just kinda meh... but after a few months in My Verona it came alive and got my attention. The Flores y Rodriquez was very good too. It was just a touch milder than the Fausto. But, both of them met my main criteria... Easy draw, lotta smoke, great flavor.

But nothing has the flavor like a Fausto either!!!But you don't retro anyway so smokem like you stoleem!!!

Maybe it is time to smoke a Fausto. Have a few that have been resting awhile. Like you said, first one was so-so.

It does add to the experience, I reckon. But I still can't call out flavors like boysenberry and pumpernickel with hints of imitation naugahyde ... :-)

LOVE the Fausto. Got a few fivers of the short Churchill then went for a box. Those cigars have that right between the eyes bazinga I like 🇨🇮

Jut your lower jaw forward and let the smoke hang in your mouth and trickle out , does the same thing and exposes the olfactory bulb without a full retro hale. I've done both, some cigars on a retro hale smack you like too much wasabi.
Kinda like opening an airway for mouth to mouth. I don't know about picking out almond, boysenberry or any other such hornscnoggle, but doing that has always opened up loads of flavors from the cigar.
When done right you can tell immediately 🇨🇮
