I am getting a NewAir 18 bottle thermoelectric wine cooler tomorrow to store my cigars in. 🇨🇮

What is the optimum humidity and temp?

Planning on Heartfelt beads as what I have (brand 😵 is only enough for my regular humidor.

Any other tips or tricks.....

65-70 Degrees

62-65 Rh. If you have a lot of CC's, keep it around 62. If your stash is mostly NC, then keep it around 65 Rh.

Since you have been a member here for a few months before posting I'm thinking you buy a fair share of smokes. As a result, you may want to consider something twice that size. I think you will out grow it much quicker than expected.

I have a NewAir 281e.

I try to keep mine at 64 degrees and somewhere in the 63 to 66 range. I don't really have to try too hard, can't remember the last time I sprayed my beads.

I keep a couple 65 boveda packs up top with my boxes and 65 Heartfelt beads on the bottom.

If I get some stock and my rh goes above 66, I'll just pull the beads / boveda packs out for a few hours then throw them back in. That usually gets it back under.

AZ guy? Scottsdale here.

I keep all my humidors in the 64-65% range using moist-n-air and about 4 lbs of heartfelt beads and worry more about the heat in summer since the thermo is usually 77 degrees. That may not be a concern with a cooler but I have found the coolest bedroom and keep the drapes closed and the vent fully opened so that room gets extra attention. I have never had a mold problem with 2000-2500 cigars.

Oh, I got your point now, it was more about pulling them out. What I've found (not sure if others noticed this), but if I leave them in there, it will hold at the higher RH as if they recalibrate at the higher RH or something. Don't know if this is true, but I prefer to yank them out for a while, then put them back in. It seems to work better for me.

I store my cigars on the front porch when it rains or is really sunny, it gives them a burst of freshness.
