Went to work this morning with a full charge. Came out 9 hours later... phone is dead.

Like, way dead. Won't come on dead. Plugged it in for a few minutes... nada. Plugged it into the computer... nada.

WTF?

Could be an app... or an operating system update which has gone wrong.

I had an app installed on my android once which updated one day, and suddenly after that update it started sucking juice. I uninstalled the app and the problem was solved....

Lately there have been connectivity issues in my area, where there has been signal drop & No Service for a few hours s day. When this happens, and the phone is constantly "Searching", then it eats up battery some kinda fierce.

One night this week I went to bed with s full charge & woke up to 9%. Lately I've been putting the phone in airplane mode at bed time & waking up to a 100% charge.

I believe there is an ATT website that shows nationwide service issues & outages. Not sure who is your carrier, but there might be something similar if you don't have ATT. Just do a google search.

Good Luck

Google iPhone 5 battery recall and enter your serial #. I got my battery replaced for free.

If not, do a hard reset and restore.

Took it to the apple store. They did a reboot and it worked.

Dude said it locked up for some reason and just needed to be rebooted... well, eff me if I didn't try that and it didn't work.

Anyway, I'ze back in bidness.

How often do you hold down the top power button until it shuts down?

It's a computer and Apple OS is not perfect, rebooting every couple of week doesn't hurt.
