Country Folk are good people.
The mountain folk I run into & know in N GA, whew, as much as I Love those N GA Mountains, them folks are really not my kind. Mean, Bitter, and Skepical as Hell.
They don't take kindly to outsiders. Even though those outsiders have owned land, visited, shopped, bartered, broke bread, prayed with, partied with, and etc. for over 40 years.
Try to be friendly, but it's a lot like talking to a wall. They're a strange breed up there, for sure. And I'm talking land owners & farmers. Not the usual gentry. Them's are worse.
