several years ago Hoyodude recommended them to me and I was able to get a couple of boxes of the robustos over a few months on clearance (coronas were already gone) at dirt cheap pricing. They were a steal, creamy, hint of vanilla iirc, and were well aged by that time. Wish I still had a box stashed away.

I think Hoyodude (Chris) is the expert on these.

hardly see him anymore, 'cept talking pie baccy every so often. But he always knew some under the radar low(er) priced smokes.

Him and DMV I think got into a heated convo and Chris hasn't come round here alot after that nuke.

Box delivered a few minutes ago as I was heading out the door.
Will smoke one when I get back in a few hours, and post a review.

Okay . . . three hours later. . .

Nice easy pre-light draw, no discernible flavors or nuances that I could pick up.
About a third the way through and up until this point, no problems. Nice draw, mild to med and a nice flavor.
THEN the wrapper just started to fall apart. Will try to stay with it to the end, but if it breaks up any further . . . it will probably wind up in the toilet.

About halfway through, the wrapper completely disintegrated. Continued smoking it, sans wrapper, but had to toss it at the 2/3 mark. 👎

I'll let the rest of them sit in my humi for some equilibration time and try again in a few months.
Hopefully, this VERY delicate (dry?) wrapper will be in better shape then. 🙏

sorry and surprised to hear this. again, my only experiences were a couple of boxes of robbies about two years ago, but all smoked pretty well.

Could be the traveling weather Jespear, it has been pretty cold here lately. I would guess the rest will help the burn issues and the weather should be getting better here soon. Being retired now it is going to be harder to rest cigars with all the free smoke time on your hands.

I have PLENTY of stock already aged or aging, and it's not like I'm gonna stop picking up MORE stuff every week.

I actually have a sampler that the person who gifted it to me had written on the box:
"Purchased 2001 - Smoke May 2003."
I guess I'm about 12 years too late for THAT. 🤦

One of my best smoking experiences was smoking one of these. In the pool with a cocktail in one hand the cigar in the other and getting a hummer.the good old days.

they don't make cigars like that anymore...
