Well done.

Was just talking about mowers with a coworker and how commercial units mow so much better than residential riders. I've already killed a residential rider right at about 100 hours. Drive unit's shot, deck's bent, front end is all loose/bent, sealed bearings leaked their fluids, and it's only two seasons old.

You need something alittle more heavy duty there. 100 hours? Dan don't play around.

I looked them all over. Liked the dixie cause of the welded deck, not stamped.

Over sized pumps and motors for just a 60" cut.

5 year bumper to bumper.

Lifetime on frame

I destroyed the steering because I cut down about 30 trees and then cut em as close as possible to the ground with a sawzall, but they're still hard lumps that catch the steering when hit.

The rear end on the residential grade hydrostatic drive doesn't like to pull a load. I am always towing a trailer or dethatcher or aerator or something.

The deck, again - stumps.

The bearings - that's just crap bearings can't handle a bumpy lumpy yard.

The residential riding mowers are really made for people with HOAs and smooth yards, not dudes with acreage and animals and all the stuff that goes with it.

Buying myself an early 80's Deere rider with a commercial deck to replace the one I gave to my brother in law.

My old man has an old Deere he restored. The new ones are garbage for "real acreage"

You won't hurt that ole' Deere.

He's got a blade on the front of his. Uses it to clear the driveway in the winter. And grade it in the spring.

Yep. Didn't feel like putting money in the old one, so I gave it to my brother in law who has a quarter acre at best. He fixed it up, replacing the trans and swapping a 14hp Koehler in place of the factory 10 that was dying after 3 rebuilds. He put a blade, weights and chains and plowed all winter while I shoveled my 70'x25' drive.

I dropped $2k on a new residential model. He mows with my old 52" commercial deck, and im suffering with a crap 46" that I rebuilt after the first season and is pretty much done for.

Looking for a 300 series diesel jd with hydraulics. Add a commercial deck to mow, hydro controls for a blade.
