I don't blend or even mix tobaccos. I do tweak some milder blends if they seem weak or boring. Any tweaking involves some bulk Perique, Latakia or Tambolaka. Haven't had the 'urge' to mix any of those three together. The more I read about blending and pipe tobacco in general the greater my need to 'learn' more before starting to blend. I wanna know how to swim before diving in.
Herbs blend sample was in the mail box, thank you. We're supposed to have rain tomorrow, should free up some time to sit on the porch and enjoy a bowl as opened. It's a little moist, not enough to adhere to itself but still springy.
I plan on starting with a small capacity brier, if it smokes well I'll set enough out to dry for 2/3 more bowls as it dries. Then move up to a larger bowl and vary the rh. If there is still enough left I'd like to try the same inna morta davida. Sorry I slipped there for a moment. Hope to have something ready to post by mid next week. Don't know whose leg Ron's pulling (both of us?) but I don't think I have that developed a palate. Guess he got impressed with Greek Style grape leaves or chocolate graham from cigars or over ripe mango from Erinmore......was I pulling his leg? Regardless, Thanks again Herb, I too am looking forward to my input.
