Hey everyone,
I am a disabled army veteran. Just now I have begun to smoke cigars. I have tried a few cigars and so far. I like the Oliva V Torpedo and I tried a Arturo Fuente Anejo. But those are too expensive. This might be a dumb question. Does anyone know of any cheaper cigars that could be similar to those 2 I listed?

First let me say Thank You for your service! Those are 2 pretty distinct cigars that are kind of hard to match. I would recommend possibly trying some of the cheaper lines in those makers arsenal. IMO you really can't go wrong with any of the Oliva series maduros and for the Fuente try the 8-5-8 maduro or any of the 8-5-8 are very good. Welcome to the madhouse by the way and try this thread for some more info.

Thanks for the service and welcome aboard. Another Fuente to try is the Chateau and can be found in natural, maduro and sun grown.

Looks like you have fine taste in cigars - try a few sampler packs and see what else you enjoy. (My Father's Sampler comes to mind)

Maybe the tatuaje Miami line for the V's ? The room101 daruma might work too.

You can't really replace the Anejo with anything. But you may like the other lines mentioned at less than half the price.

And as others said, thanks for your service.
Both cigars you named happen to be favorites of mine. A couple I smoke regularly and enjoy, although not quite the same, but quite a bit less are the 5 Vegas AAA and La Herencia de Cuba Oscuro Fuete.
As for refining and defining your likes/dislikes, read the descriptions and purchase 5 packs to try. Realize that just because someone else likes a certain cigar or brand does not mean you will. Plenty of very good lower priced smokes to be had. Find what you like and enjoy.

No particular suggestions to match those, but some of my favorites are from La Flor Dominicana, some of the cheaper Fuentes. For the Oliva V, maybe look at My Father cigars.

Since you like anejo, check out the world of maduros.........not the same but as a general rule gets closer than a natural and available in most brands and price ranges.

Look for the Oliva V samplers here on Cigarbid, you can usually get those at a pretty good price at <= 5 bucks a stick.

Not mentioned yet are the Oliva Saisons sold here, you can usually get those for 3 bucks a stick. They're not really on the same level as the V but in my opinion they are good.

Fuente Anejo... that's a tough one to match up, especially if you're looking for cheaper.
