OK, help a n00b out here-just searched for "lancero" on the auctions, and the AB Texas Lancero came up:

http://www.cigarbid.com/Auction/Lot/2022039/Alec-Bradley-Texas-Lancero-Single/

I know all you Texans will claim everything is bigger in Texas, but a 7x70 being called a lancero?

This is almost as bad as all the weird naming conventions instead of just saying corona, robusto, churchill etc.

C'mon Man!

What would a Florida lancero look like? A culebra?

A Florida lancero hails from Haiti, and is aged in the ocean tied to an old inner tube.

You said it all when you said Alec Bradley..............marketing that makes one spew forth every time I read their ad copy, inferior tobacco/horrid blending.A 7x70 is a dilldoe .........not a lancero.

As for the Texas part......I have no idea if the Alec Bradley brand is some how associated with Texas or this is just more 3 Stooges marketing idiocy.

For those haters that must say something about Texas..........look around, that business that up and left.Yep they just showed up down here.BWAAAAAAAAAAAHAAAAAAAAAAAA

Rom, that's what we do around here. Pick, poke, and otherwise make fun of each other for no reason. Now watch that Texas size ego around door jambs, and stuff.

We call hardhead catfish, Texas trout, here. Seems logical to me.

We do love our outrageous sized cigars down here in Texas. I've got a Texas Lancero that I may be sparking up tonight. We got a lot of H Town Lanceros and such as well which aren't as ridiculous as the Texas Lancero's 7x70.

Should a 7" x 70 ring be called a lancero… or a johnson?

Heard Wombat loves lanceros?

Bur, you are absolutely right. Most lanceros are 7 x 38 or, at least, panetela-size. This is a monstrous, over-sized beast.
