The old Camachos were my go to favorite cigars hands down, I'll always be salty about their passing. But.....

I've recently gotten onto Eiroa and Eiroa CBT cigars and I've been impressed, these are some fantastic cigars. Christian Eiroa has definitely moved on to producing some excellent cigars with these.=d>

Been smoking the Presnado and Robusto vitolas, both are great. The Presnado has been my favorite.
With the Eiroa it's been a long time since I've been able to call a cigar an azz kicker, it's an immensely flavorful and heady knee knocker. Not to be smoked on an empty stomach and I'm a strong cigar lover.

Right from the first puffs to the nub both of these are great. Full throttle right from the start and they stay that way right to the end. I haven't smoked one yet without nubbing them to the point I'm burning my fingers trying to get every last little bit of each cigar. So good I've box purchased both and well worth it!

I am an old Camacho fan, too, and have been hesitant to try the new lines. Thanks for the recommendation, Zody.

I'm with you. One of the best cigars I ever smoked was an OR Diploma that Christian gave me years ago but these days I've fallen in love with his CLE Corojo line. Most recently I sampled the CLE Plus Robusto and might have found one of his best efforts to date! Both very satisfying and delicious smokes.
As for what's become of the old Camach brand,,,not impressed at all.

I got a box of the CLE coroho and they didn't do a lot for me. Good cigar just didn't really grab me. Sitting in my humidor and infrequently considered when i grab a cigar. I recently had a CLE Plus which was better and good but the Eiroas have gotten my attention.

CLE's are a great medium - cigar for a.m. smoking.

I agree, great in the AM, great in the PM, for me. I recommend the CLE Plus Robusto if you haven't tried it yet. It's got Christian's stamp all over it, very tasty smoke and one which will stand up to a full bodied beer....IMO.🍺

What old camachos are best? There is a shop in dayton ohio that has a **** ton of them i guess my buddy called to let me know but i didn't even know what to ask for. Asked him to grab a few different ones. Will see what I get...

As for which ones, the regular particularly the dark natural wrapper, and Diploma lines were awesome. Julio Eiroa the father put out a few milder blends in the portfolio.

You figured correct. Davidoff are big shoes but they don't have the tobacco and the certain something that made Camacho what it was - which stuff is now being strutted elsewhere, unfortunately no brand lives forever. Except some of the really crappy ones, they stick around like friggin cockroaches.

My first Camacho was after the rebranding so I don't have a lot of love lost for old blends. I have had some of the old version since including a stubby little triple maduro and I liked them. Maybe the extra age is affecting the comparison? I have heard some blends were changed, some were not and some like the change and some dont. Haven't really got Camacho in my current rotation - a good "will smoke" but not ranking up to a "buy" position IMO.
