A buddy at work handed me one of these. I don't know which one but it had a nice Connecticut wrapper, @ 6 x 50 torpedo. WOW!!!! What a great cigar. A little tight on the draw and a few little cracks on the wrapper towards the end, but those were the only flaws. A nice even burn with no touchups required at all. Firm white ash and highly complex. Oak, cedar, pepper, cinnemon and a touch of vanilla and cinnemon, with a long finish on each puff. Don't see these on the mothership or cbid; what gives?? Are they MAP?? Got to get more of these. Can't wait to try a maduro if they make it.

Sometimes it pays to go to the supermarket !

Just bought a fiver of a Corona-size VF. This time the draw was nice and easy and the cigar itself felt a bit softer. Like the stick my buddy gave me, it was mild and had a different flavor profile. This time it was mostly leather and pepper, with a little spice. A long finish as well. Much better than the Perdomo Champagne, which I also liked and it stands head and shoulders above Macanudo Hyde Park (which admittedly I haven't smoked in years because it was an air-ball.) And Tony, I don't shop for cigars at K-Mart.

There is a new Vega Fina out now in b n m but I haven't tried it.

Vega Fina is a well-made mild/medium cigar from Altadis. Seems like a good seller for retail shops. Like a lot of other brands they've introduced a Nicaraguan version which is a little fuller-bodied, still at most a solid medium. IMO, both are pretty good value for what they are,

Back in the late 80s When the brand was under Tabalera S.A. de España they were horrendously awful. Got a box of them and they were so bad I had to pitch them. Th*****n was selling them and man were they bad.
Before Altadis formed they were producing Romeo y Julietta and they were dog rockets too.
