Fun race to watch last night. That low downforce package keeps things interesting.

Just over a week to go.

If any of you are on the fence, last year's Chase was racing drama at its best. Full contact auto racing, bumping fenders on the track. Brawls between drivers and their crews after the races on the track and in the garage area, on live TV. Drivers intentionally ramming other cars or backing into each other on the post race cool down lap over perceived intentional contact during the race that violates some unspoken rules about what is OK contact and what isn't OK contact....


I'm not a big NASCAR fan, and rarely pay attention during the regular season, but the CBid Chase contest had me glued the last coupla years.

Most of all, four drivers are still in the hunt with an equal chance to win the Championship on the last day. So one out of four of the players had a chance to win after 6 races. Four of 16 are eliminated after the first 3 races. Then the next 3 races yields the final four.

Last year did have a playoff feel to it. Nascar just needs to move all the Chase races to Saturday night. Make it a night party with the next day to recoup. Stop thinking they will ever compete with the NFL.

Also, open to suggestions for the contest. We can go back to winner take all, change the entry fee, etc. If we get to 8, everyone gets 2 drivers.

Where is therrm? Come on folks lets do this!!!!

While your at it, start an introduction thread on the general board. There are questions that need to be answered. Important stuff like pancakes or waffles, camping and turkish prisons. Plenty of ways to get involved. Just don't get in the van with zrx.
