My Pops came to visit from Wisconsin. Going to wake his ass up soon and drag him into the back marches of the Delaware Bay to catch some blue claw crabs this morning. Waking him up this time of day is going to be much harder than the crabbing. Stay tune I'll report back later on my success of getting him out of bed and our(or my) catch.

Was able to get pop out of bed at 5:30am. Had the lines in the water by 6:15am. Hand lines with Chix necks. We quit at 8:30am and caught a dozen keepers. A lot of small crabs. We smoked a few bowls with our pipes plus each had a cigar. Great morning. Going to play golf later this afternoon with pop and my brother.

Here you can buy a rig for a fishing pole that has weed eater line in the shape of a flower, when you reel in they tighten like a noose.

I usually use rings or a box trap.

One at a time is slow, but it's a fun way to spend a day by the water. Before you know it you'll have a bushel full & good eats to come. Have fun.

I was never a fan of Blue Crab till I went to a restaurant named Pinchers.........they serve bowls of tiny claws fixed different ways.....mmmmmm good.

Golf was way more successful than crabbing today. Had five birdies and shot 72, two over par🇨🇮
