Is anyone as pumped up for this year as I am? The wife and I are having a field day this year. I just snatched up Fallout Anthology, am grabbing the new Assassins Creed, Battlefront, and Fallout 4. She's getting Tales of Zestria in two weeks, and Sword Art Online. (All for PS4 except Fallout Anthology which was PC Only)

On top of that it's about to be that time of year PC Gamers wait for, because Steam Sales are around the corner.

I plan on spending this weekend jamming on the Battlefront beta, and streaming it all weekend long.

When not doing that, I finally got my hands on The Witcher 3, and am enjoying it thoroughly even though Im late to the game.

What games are you guys getting pumped up for?

It's been what? 10 years since I've been able to fly around on a jetpack shooting wrist rockets at people? Too long.

Oh yeah, I don't know if it'll live up to battlefront II on ps2. With all the races, heroes and villains though.

Im half tempted to dig out my capture card an stream 4 days of battlefront II immediately after the best, to see if that holds up, because Nostalgia is the cruelest of mistresses.

Just remember, Yoda was pretty much the best hero ever since his hit box was tiny and he's a ball of lightning.

Never could figure out how to play Assassins Creed.

Assassin's creed never does anything new for me. When you play one you've about played them all.

I could see it being artistically pleasing especially with a jack the ripper vibe, but I'll bet you half the damn missions is the same "follow so and so and remain undetected" or "chase this messenger for seemingly forever and kill him". They tried to open up black flag a little bit with the boat fighting thing but they inevitably fell back into the groove of the same old crud. Hopefully I'll be wrong about the next one though.

Played the Battlefront Beta last night and most of the morning. Here are my thoughts:

1) They need to make sure the currency system is fixed. I dumped 1500 credits into shield charges, went into the next match, showed 30, wouldn't let me use the shield. Upon picking up a charge on the field my charges changed to 1.

2) They need to balance the ATAT Attack's defend points. In a heavy vehicle map with turrets everywhere having 90% of the points out in the open causes the empire to win 90% of the time.

3) The random item system is a bit frustrating, as are the spawns. Half of the random items are near useless (Im looking at you, turrets), and when playing Drop Ship, the game tends to spawn you on the opposite side of the map when you're defending a point, and by the time you get back to the point, many times not only has the other team taken over, but the capture meter is almost full.

That being said....

I cant stop playing it. Its beautiful, the sound is spot on, and besides these issues.... its fun. I know a ton of people are complaining about the lack of a class system, and theres a bunch of hate on the card system, but this doesn't bother me. Dropship games are quick and fast paced, and 20 v 20 ATAT Attack is frantic, fun, and who doesn't like to see Lord Vader appear on the battlefield to wreck house while A-Wings, X Wings, Tie Fighters, and Chicken Walkers blow stuff up.

I'm totally snatching this game up.
