I never knew the notorious brothers who escaped were from Georgia.
Did anyone watch the History Channel show tonight, has seen a news link? This is an interesting turn of events.

are they heroes now..?? why were they in there in the first place..?? 😕
That last part seems far-fetched, but a former LEO & photo expert concluded the 1975 photo from Brazil was in fact the brothers, and proof of their escape. If alive, they would be 84 & 85 y/o.
The weird part, to me, is their best friend from childhood who took the photo, eventually became an airplane plilot & drug smuggler. They're now trying to implicate him in the escape. That is theory, but 4 boys from rural GA pulled all this off.
It will be interesting to see how the Feds proceed. They definite have new leads to follow. I missed out on why the family held onto this evidence for 23 years & didn't cooperate with authorities until now. That kinda sounds like aiding & abedting in a way to me.
but...
what a joke...
with all the problems and terrorists of today...
the federal authorities are spending time and money
on this crap?
what the F$CK are they going to do
with two 84/85 year olds if they ever do find them?
WHAT A WASTE OF TAXPAYER MONEY...
let the Brazilians worry about it....
I'm sure they dont give a crap either...
It sounds like some FBI douche bags want FREE VACATIONS TO BRAZIL to eat beef, get drunk and find HOT Spanish strange...
I know some FBI agents who spent BIG BUCKS in
Italy and Switzerland looking for something they were duped into believeing by a superior opponent...
those feds love a good vacation on the taxpayers
dime...
Ahem, HOT Brazilian strange, please. Nothing Spanish about Brazil.
"You are Cooorrrect, Sir"
They would have starved because their food stores would have been burnt up and stuff.

Folk heroes, maybe ... to some, I guess. Who knows.
Their original crime was robbing a bank with a plastic toy gun.
They got sent to Alcatraz after being caught attempting to escape from the state penitentiary.
