Gennady Golovkin just pounded this kid for 7 1/2 rounds... the ref stopped it in the middle of the 8th.

TKO.

Dude is a beast.

Nope, after Mayweather vs Manny, everyone thinks all the matches now a days are that boring.

Football was on.........and I don't think the fight was even available in this hotel.I suppose I could've drove into town somewhere and watched it but then there's the cab ride home, next morning the search for the cabbie that picked you up to see if he knows where my pickup is parked. If no joy there then I have to call in and get them to activate the locator...........too much trouble.I sipped bourbon in the lounge and watched football.

Golovkin is an all-time talent, a throwback to the power punching fighters of the 50' and 60's. I didn't think Lemieux was a worthy opponent so I didn't do the PPV.

Boxing got stale because we Americans only follow the sport when there is an American heavyweight champion or an entertaining lower weight champ like Sugar Ray Leonard. Mayweather hasn't helped with his defensive style and the heavyweight titles have belonged in the Ukraine for the past 12 + years.

I'm still a big fan. I like watching ESPN's Friday Night Fights. Some up and comers there...

Yup. It's good to see boxing on free/cable TV again at prime time. That they're including top ten boxers is a plus.
