The 60s were great......
The 70s were fun......
The 80s were weird......
The 90s were interesting.....
Then, somewhere in the early 2000s, things just started to go sideways, and it's taken me this long to convince the wife to move (kids in school, family in town, etc)
This friday I'll be in the great Pacific Northwest, in a small beach town, smoking a Padron to celebrate.
Might even convince zrx to pop over for a herf, provided he leaves his hand cuffs, ball gag, and other camping gear at home.
Carry on.....
Best thing we did for ourselves, and our kids!
Do it and don't look back! Good luck KotC.
9 years, and I'm headed back East, Lord willing.

The Pacific Northwest is beautiful, congratulations! Now don't let them Kalifornacte that place any more than they already have.
Midwest is getting pretty liberal. I'd like to move to texas. Or alabama.

Can't expect much else when it's being "****** tated " from DC and follow through with withholding Fed $$ to any state that dares challenge them. Same holds true with immigration issues

Well, then Illinois must be challenging them all of the time, judging from the amount of our taxes comes back to our state.
I escaped NY back in 2006 and moved to central Alabama. Never looked back and glad we made the move. Better quality of life for our family. Good people with strong values here. A handshake still maintains its meaning. Very proud of their Veterans too.
J/k Hope you enjoy that beautiful state.

Good luck with your new digs!
