Last year we got a bunch of teenage beggars, 2 toddlers, and i swear, 1 grandma.

We're going to a pub this year for booze.

Hope they don't egg the house.

5 years at this house, not had a single one.

No sidewalks, busy street, and big gaps between homes probably helps.

I can't remember what the last year was when we got more than a half dozen. None last year, so this year it's lights out as no one within 3 houses around me is turning on the lights. Already bought candy for the neighbor kids who are in middle or high school. Used to be a big contest on who could put out the most decorations between 2 neighbors, but one moved and no competition

has left no motivation. No sidewalks here either.

About 10 years ago, we had a tornado on All Hallows Eve- they postponed trick or treating until next day and limited to 2 hours. About 15 mins left in allotted time and we had 2 kids show, I split the bowl of candy between them. They're eyes were big a saucers when I did that.

The last 5-6 years we only have a handful show up and I haven't even put any decorations out the last 3 years. Probably gonna be a scrooge and not even turn the light on this year.

My neighbors get a few, but our driveway drops more than 100 feet and kids and parents don't want to make the climb out.

It was a PITA jumping up and down in our last neighborhood, but I enjoyed seeing the little kids. I would put a bunch of candy in a large bowl. It was fun to watch their face while they pondered taking just one or grabbing a handful, also what their parents said if they were with them. I always said, You can have another." if they only took one.

We are in a pretty tight residential area. Pretty sure people bring their kids from all over just to extract candy from our area. We will have hundreds of kids come by.

We going to meet some friends at The Brass Tap. 100+ beers on tap and I can trick or treat me some pretzel's.

In my little Missouri town the kids go up and down Main Street mostly. Out in my quiet neighborhood, I get a few and I reward them for shying away from the rabble. I give the good stuff too....Reeses, Hershey bars, kitkat. I like seeing the little ones. The big dumb teenagers I tell to f*ck off.

Man we had the best time time for Halloween

I would spend half the day getting everything set up. I set up tents and tables. Rolled the grill around front. It was like a big tailgate party.

We invited all our friends over and I cooked burgers and dogs. Once we ate, the moms took the kids on the hay ride. I hooked my trailer to my 4wheeler and the moms rode from house to house. The dads stayed at the house and passed out candy( mostly drank).

Now my kids are to grown for trick or treating. Sigh

DAD HAD FUN TOO!!!

I love Halloween. Sadly, our doorbell used to ring close to 100 times, probably lucky to get 20/25 greedy little sugar crazed buggers now.

We's live out in a field so no goblins come to our door, but hey, we have grandkids so we hang with them.

My youngest was born on Halloween eve and for the longest time he thought the big candyfest was because it was his birthday. Great times, he's 29 now.
