Got a new fuel can tonight for a garage heater. One of the new NON SPILLING POSITIVE CLOSING Pieces of $hit. Plastic 5 gallon with some kinda gaddam impossible to figure out opening mechanism that made me spill about 1/2 a gallon of kerosene. I'll be eliminating all of that nonsense very quickly.

They make these self priming siphon hoses that work so well you can forget about the stupid spout design. I have spilled enough gas trying to use the stupid safety spouts. And no vent on new cans either.

Yup.

Never spilled as much fuel as I do with the spill proof nozzles. Now I take the nozzle off and fill through a funnel.

I agree Jade most ARE ****!!! But when I bought a new Stihl weed wacker this past year it came with one that actually works and is easy to use. Just more BS in our new sissy society that's beholden to protect us from OURSELVES!!!!! 🌫

Did you ask ram if you can put kerosene in a gas can?

Tractor supply sells a retro fit kit to make it like the good ol gas can they shouldn't have messed with. Even comes with a normal type of vent to add to your fuel can.
