Bought a new game this past week and saved a bunch. Purchased a set of pre-owned Callaway's which were delivered on Thur. The clubs look like new with not a scratch on any of them. Callaway's reconditioning program is top notch. Only problem is the new knee will probably delay any golfing until the end of Feb.

I have the name and number of the rep that I dealt with if anyone is interested. He will cherry pick the clubs which is a better deal in my opinion than ordering online.

Glad to hear that your recovery is at a point that you can think of a golf game. My hip surgery went as expected, and recovery as well. So on to the knees... scheduled for third week of January.

Not expected to be a total unless the doctor see something he doesnt' like. Right know it's reconstruction on the inside of both knees, then recovery. Merry Christmas to you and your family, hoping the best you in the coming new year.

Fuzz, glad the hip replacement has gone well. Hope the same for both of the knees and please keep us updated on your progress. I don't think many of the doctors in this area are doing the partial knee replacements. From what I hear the recovery is about half the time of what a full replacement takes.

Hope that you and yours have a safe, merry Christmas and a happy new year!

This is the story: My daughter in law is a senior VP at a major physical therapy company in the Northeast, I asked her to find a Dr. for me. She comes back with this Dr. out of Rothman Inst. in Phila.

I go the the appointment, for him to look at my knees. Just in passing he asked me if I have had problems with my hip. I answer yes, so he asked me to straighen out my right leg, he manipulated my leg just a bit, and they needed to scrap me off the ceiling, so much pain. He tells me you need a new hip before the knees. I tell you all that to tell you this...... he does not believe in physical

therapy, for his patient's...... none what so ever. Thank you daughter in law. So how did my recovery go with the hip? At my post appointment, he told me if I was in a race to get better, I am two miles ahead of everyone else. No walker, used a cane for 10 days. My only concern was stairs, going down not up. Now I know my recovery with the knees with be way different, but time will be on my side. I have a very understanding nurse at home ( the wife ) so she will take care of me. And in the spring, or early summer maybe golf. Time will tell.

Best of luck to you both. I'm in the same boat, left hip, both knees, previous surgeries, more in the future. All in all I've been lucky, still very active and no major weight stress issues. Soooooo, I'll just continue to deal with it until surgery is necessary.

RD, good luck with your health. Just remember that every time you fix or repair a body part, it takes away another excuse for a bad golf game.
