Pete Johnson of Tatuaje has told halfwheel that his company will no longer produce single store exclusive releases.

“Due to factory constraints and production limits we are no longer able to produce smaller projects,” said Johnson in a text to halfwheel.

When asked if this would apply to even some of the larger single store releases the company has previously produced, Johnson indicated that Tatuaje would no longer make limited edition releases that will be sold only at a single store.

While releases like the Federal 109 and Pork Tenderloin are amongst the most high-regarded cigars Tatuaje has put out in its 13-year history, the challenges of making unique cigars in small runs for specific stores has had its problems at various times.

Now, it seems Johnson will no longer have to worry about that.

Tatuaje will not cease production of limited edition cigars, even those that might only be offered at certain retailers. Within the last week Johnson has solicited feedback regarding the next size of the Tatuaje TAA exclusive.

The majority of Tatuaje cigars are produced at My Father Cigars S.A. in Estelí, Nicaragua. A small amount are made by My Father in Doral, Fla.

With a few exceptions the majority of the "special releases" appear to be just the same blend in a different vitola. Makes for a very limited cigar and in some cases changes the flavors but not necessarily better than the originals.

Hopefully we will soon see a decent new regular release from Tatuaje.
The announcement probably has the SnS brothers panties in a twist.

Damn. I almost pulled the trigger on a few single store releases this year but did not. Regretting that now....

Anyone have a list of single-store versions? I've had only a few and only one box that I recall (Apocalypse.)
Haven't been able to find a list.
