I'm all for this... well, except in the case of morons. Law abiding morons should not be allowed to own guns.

I'm in favor of the new law but I prefer the element of surprise for me personally.

Open carry in TN also, but you have to be tested and licensed

Same here in Texas.......All CHL holders will be grandfathered in to the the new LTC(license to carry)permit.I think one of the reasons they did this here is because under the old law it was a crime for a concealed weapon to be visible.I don't know how many times my shirt has ridden up my back when carrying in an IBL style holster, common thing among us I am sure..Now its....no biggie.

Makes sense, how often will they charge to renew. I think it's every 2 years here, can't remember, I'm an outlaw, hehe

wife has a carry permit, nice little Ruger LCR with laser sights, she's a good shot!

open carry is just so much more comfortable imo

also much more versatile when it comes to potential carry firearms

oc'd my ruger alaskan in .454 a couple months ago…now that is a hunk of steel

If I lived up north I'd be in a shoulder rig 90% of the time, that's what I find most comfortable.Just not practical for these hot azz Texas summers.I like right front pocket best in the summer, cargo shorts or pants, followed by IWB small of the back.If I wore long britches more I love an ankle rig with a hammerless 5 shot 38...........but I hate big boy britches.

This is probably a very inaccurate account of what truly happened.I arrived at that conclusion after reading only these two sentences.

1."Of course, Coleman blamed the theft of the Walther P22 handgun on a black guy."

The sentence above just sounds snobbish.....Kind of like anyone who is mugged at gunpoint is obviously going to blame it on a black guy.Liberal overload......

2." The gun that was pulled on Coleman was reportedly a semi-automatic (would he really admit to being robbed with a smaller gun?), which was likely openly carried as well."

Obviously not knowledgable about handguns at all......AT ALL.The Walther P22 that the vic carried is also a semi automatic and the knowledge alone that the perps gun was a semi automatic does not inform us one bit as to its size or caliber. This is exactly why liberal gun shy idjits should not be writing a story of this nature.

Now with all that being said if you do not know how to protect your carry piece by all means keep it concealed til you get more training.....and even then I would say stay concealed. No one need be shot with their own weapon.

I'll always conceal. I'm not a fan of making myself a target. But to each their own I suppose.

We've had open carry in Ohio. It makes me wonder why I had to take a course and pay a fee to let my shirt tail hang down over my weapon.

so i conceal carry every day of my life

but i have nothing against open carry and, as ive stated in this thread, often find it more comfortable

in states without open carry or with strong brandishing laws if you print or the handle of your gun shows you can be charged

but to all of you talking about "being targets," i hope none of you drive a nice car, have an above average house, have a pretty wife, where a watch, are old, etc...
