Not a wet one unfortunately. I Dream of Jeannie, Doh! No but seriously, every several months or a year may go by but I will wake up and remember vividly jumping into the air and floating through different areas, sometimes neighborhoods other times mountains, lakes, etc. I just had one of these dreams the other day, it's so awesome. I wish I could have them every night.

What's yours? Dare to share?

A lot of times when I listen to or play violin music it carries over into my dreams and is very calming and peaceful.

But overall the best dreams are when I'm completely hammered and I'm dreaming that I'm still at the party.

It is my understanding that dreaming of flying is a subconscious desire to escape. If you're flying over an old neighborhood or something with fond memories of, you could be subconsciously wanting to return there, to those good times, etc.

As a little girl, I had recurring nightmares where I was walking through the same area of town and someone would come out of one of the bars in the area. He would follow me, speeding up when I sped up, turning where I turned. Each times, as I was about to enter the door of the house, he would grab me, shoot me or stab me....that was the only difference in the dream - how he 'got' me. Some nights, I'd have the dream multiple times. This one started when I was 11 and the last time I had it, I was 21.

I can psychoanalyze that too, but if you know me, you can probably figure it out.

I had another recurring dream where I was sitting in a rocking chair on the dock of a very long pier. As I rocked, the slats on the dock would fall away, one at a time until I was terrified I'd fall into the water. LOL Had this one when I was about 12 - 15 years old. Still remember both of the vividly.

If you know what water symbolizes, you can probably figure out what that one might be about. LOL

Not nearly as much fun as moonman's dreams.

Take lots of vitamin C and niacin before bed.

Or LSD.

Years ago I used to have this one, or very similar to it, pretty regularly.

I'm driving in my 1963 VW camper van, on a cliff overlooking the ocean, with two friends.

We're checking surf spots, when we see a perfect wave on the beach below, with no one in the water.

It's late in the afternoon, and I pull over and we hop out.

My friends are ready in seconds, but I'm struggling to get ready......cant find my booties, my board has no leash, can't find the leash, no wax on my board, can't find the wax........and on it goes.

Finally ready to go, can't find my keys to the van (don't want to leave it unlocked)..............finally find them............run down to the beach to surf..................and it's dark.

Reminds me of a recurring dream I had in my 30's and 40's. A huge bear/ape-like man with claws and long sharp teeth would chase me in a variety of settings, including the mountains, small towns, resort hotels, office buildings, hospitals and airports. Just as I was cornered and before getting mauled, I'd wake up sweating and breathing hard. A couple of times I woke up yelling and punching and kicking, scaring the crap out of my wife.

I very rarely ever remember my dreams anymore. I used to remember them, when I was younger, but it is rare for me to wake up and remember what I was dreaming of, now.

One that I do recall, back when I had my Nissan truck, is that of my truck getting stolen.

Lately, I've had two recurring dream themes...

I'm either in a large, old, stone building with wide staircases, wandering around, sometimes with people all over the place, where I can get into intense conversations, and sometimes with no people around, just cool, old stuff to look at. And sometimes get down to a ground floor and the stairs continue down below, where it's really dark... I don't go down there. 😰

Or, I'm on a wide expanse of a roadway, usually like a four lane blacktop with a wide grassy median, usually just at dusk where the sky still looks bluish, but the stars are out. All sorts of stuff happens along the sides as I travel along.

My dreams usually involve intense colors and sharp, realistic images, and very realistic interactions with people.

I have other weird dreams that don't fit into these categories, of course. One fun dream had me climbing up a cliff and coming to a window. Climbed through the window and it's a bright, modern room with a lot of people in it and the women were friendly and topless...

Dang Trish, I hope you never have those nightmares ever again. Ain't it the.worst in those dreams when you're being chased and your legs don't want to function so you can't run and you end up trying to drag yourself along a fence using your hands. Thanks for my dream analysis. That makes some sense. Unfortunately I won't be escaping the rat race anytime soon. 😣

Often have dreams I'm forced to kill people or animals.

Last night was a dream my parents were petsitting someone's alligator and it attacked. So, I stabbed it in the head with a screwdriver.

Another type of floating dream.............

As a kid, I grew up in a neighborhood that was an old orange grove. We had plenty of oranges to eat and throw at each other, but as they built more houses, there were fewer and fewer orange trees left. I used to have a recurring dream where oranges grew real big on a tree until they became translucent and brain-like orange orbs. They would detach from the tree and float. They would chase people down and absorb them - then get bigger and faster. After the first of these dreams, I knew what was going to happen and tried to warn people as the oranges grew on the tree but they didn't believe me until it was too late. I apparently never got caught by one. They seemed to go after everyone else, though I do remember a few close calls.

Now psyco-analyze that.

I'm feeling much better now…
