Anyone else think this is a mistake? Maybe for a one off gig it would be worth a try but as a full time replacement I just don't see it. 🌫

AC/DC = Good to great

Axl Rose = POS

I really liked the 2006 show with Axl at Rock AM Ring in Germany. 2010 in Houston and Dallas were awesome too. Not sure how I feel about the old group coming back together. The setlist looks OK, I would have loved to hear "catcher in the rye" over "Better." It looks like they're pulling from the entire catalogue thou so we need not worry about an appetite for destruction fest.

I heard that they're having a fill-in for lead singer on AC DC so it probably will not be impressive.

Okay, so Axl Rose really is going on the road with AC/DC

Not to steal any thunder from that Guns N' Roses reunion kicking off at Coachella in a few hours, but AC/DC's representatives have confirmed that Axl Rose will be hitting the road with the band for the remainder of its "Rock or Bust" world tour.

The band's statement includes an odd note of finality regarding AC/DC's longtime vocalist Brian Johnson (that "future ventures" phrase below carries a lot of weight).

"AC/DC band members would like to thank Brian Johnson for his contributions and dedication to the band throughout the years. We wish him all the best with his hearing issues and future ventures. As much as we want this tour to end as it started, we understand, respect and support Brian's decision to stop touring and save his hearing.

"We are dedicated to fulfilling the remainder of our touring commitments to everyone that has supported us over the years, and are fortunate that Axl Rose has kindly offered his support to help us fulfill this commitment."

The run of dates with AC/DC + Axl fits between Guns N' Roses tour plans, with dates beginning May 7 in Lisbon and continuing through June 12 in Aarhus, Denmark.

Guns N' Roses' U.S. tour kicks off in Detroit on June 23. Never let it be said that Axl Rose doesn't like to stay busy.

Look, he injured his ears with his race cars not his band...this is all preemptive and meant to save his hearing not that he IS deaf. The above statement in red is vague...I really don't like the "We wish him all the best with his hearing issues and future ventures." bit though...I mean Brian SAVED AC/DC after they lost Bon. Now they think they can replace him with a douchebag like Axl Rose?

I don't even want to see Guns N Roses now...Slash w Myles Kennedy was a much better alternative!...why the hell would I want to see AC/DC with Axl???

Personally, I would demand a full refund if I had tickets to any of these shows. I would not want one copper of my money to go into that deck head's hand (Axl). 🐴

I've been listening to the YouTubes from the shows GNR have done...I know the audio quality is mostly suck but still...they all look like they're just going through the motions. Mick Jagger and the Rolling Stones put more effort in that Cuba concert than I've seen from the entire GNR band!!!

Anyone ever see Mick Jagger in a "throne" the entire concert because he broke a bone in his foot?

Axl is a big ****! His voice is shot. He can't even show up on time or complete concerts with his main gig...now he's doing 2 bands???

Good luck Angus & Co. for pulling a full out and out Metallica move by dismissing Brian. Something tells me you're going to have a real hard time filling seats.

AC/DC is a rock/blues band with a distortion pedal.

They're simple and good.

At one time Axl was one of the best front men ever. Now....not so much.

I wouldn't pay to see either these days.

Part of the GnR contract on the tour is if Axl doesn't show on time the band gets ZERO $

This is that part that confuses me. Now, I realize that this isn't AC/DC circa 1982, but they are still a pretty big name that could get most anybody they want....but they settle for Axl and consider themselves fortunate that he made time out of his busy schedule. I miss Bon Scott....his is one of those 'death reports' that I recall where I was when I heard it....like Elvis or John Lennon

Now, I KNOW you like early Metallica...and what was their nickname again...oh yeah...Alcoholica.

They're going to rip on Dave but not the rest of the band? Then STEAL his riffs and lyrics???

That didn't work out so well for them as it gave the world Megadeth and that band is 100x the band that ****allica is now.

can't forget what they did to Jason Newsted too.

I'm glad I was lucky enough to see AC/DC with Bon and with Brian when it was good...not like the last few tours where the only good part was the middle because Brian had to cool his vocal chords down. Musically...I LOVE AC/DC but this latest move with Angus is a ****** move. Local radio hosts are in deep with Brian here in Tampa Bay and there's a story circulating that they packed up his stuff off the tour busses and and left it on his driveway. Couple that with the future statement...its dickish no matter how you slice it.

Oh and fining Axl for not showing...the guy is made of money anyways so he's not going to care one way or the other if the fans sit for hours or he plays 3 songs and storms off on some pity party.

Well, even Dave admitted he was so bad he couldn't play at times. It was definitely Metallica's loss, as Dave was a hell of a song writer and lyricist (as we learned when he formed Megadeth). I think it's dipsh*t Lars who is the problem.

I liked Kill 'em all, Ride the Lightning, and Master of puppets. I did not like and Justice for all, I liked the black album and garage days. After that... pbbbfffttthhhht.

I like a lot of megadeth's stuff, and I think Cryptic Writings was probably one of the best albums ever. Just awesomeness on every tune.
