001. I know a lot of us are craft beer aficionados, and some home brewers also. I enjoy many diff IPA's, stouts, porters, etc. I recently tried a Chocolate Peanut Butter Porter from Terrapin brewery. This was absolutly awful, (I know, why did I buy it? Just seemed to bizzare to pass up, wish I would have) So anyway, what is your worst craft beer you have tasted?

I didn't think Liquid Bliss was terrible, not a beer I will be buying more of but I could see how some might like it. If you like the idea of chocolate peanut butter in a porter I would suggest Duclaw's Sweet Baby Jesus, best one I have tried so far.

002. Higher Math by DogfishHead

Undrinkable but cost me $9 a 12 oz bottle and unfortunately I have another bottle in the fridge. Hoping with time it gets somewhat better

Timber Beast.

I'm not even sure who makes it. I had one maybe 6 months ago and could barely finish it.

Tastes like cedar and pine trees but worse.

It's a rye pale ale.

Sadly, I just read it's made by Lazy Magnolia. A brewery in south Sip. I'm a big fan of many of their other brews.

Any sour ale. God awful stuff. Followed by any "fruit" beer. I'm also sick of all of the bourbon barrel beers.

Lots of beers from the 90's. Bad Frog was the worst. Craft beer had a boom back then like cigars and the market got swamped with crappy stuff. Lots of good edgy beer today though i draw the line at chocolate or lemon flavors.

Sours are great, if you like them.

Try an alt beer, those are different

I don't like sours, smell/taste like rotten beer.

Anything with peppers.

Blueberry beer. Terrible.

Now that was funny!!

I think most craft beers are acquired taste. I did not care for IPAs when I first tried them but after an entire summer of trying every kind I could find I started to enjoy that bitterness.

Some have a nice citrus smell to them. I tend to kind of lean towards the ones where citra hops is the main hop used or at least a big part of the brew. There are some that are piney tasting that I just don't care for still. Doubles and triples tend to be less bitter to me as well.

I know I should probably not dismiss the entire class, but it seems counter intuitive to me to spend money on something I know with 98.2% accuracy I will hate.

So many good brews I do like to spend $$ on. Like the Marzen from Sudwerk on which the Gerbs got me hooked. 🍺
