Wondering, do yall have a rotation of different humidors? Like one for rott, 1 for waiting but ready, and one for immediate smoke? Or do you keep theme where ever you can and try to remember their age?
I know my 3 humidors won't be enough for me and need to upgrade their sizes, and I like to preplan.

Im sure people separate them from everyday and special cigars.
I know some keep humidor near 70% for storage. When they wanna smoke one they move it into another at 65% for a week.

I like to know how the pros out there work lol. I want my setup to optimize my experience.

Not much thought put into it anymore. Boxes stay boxed in their own humidor, got another big one for singles in cello, and a large desktop for singles without cello so they don't have to get rummaged through and risk damaging the wrapper leaf. Do have a CC only which I use 62% bovedas.

Depending on the cigars, I'll leave new boxes to acclimate several weeks at the minimum order if it's something I'm well familiar with, and year or more. I like Tats with age, and have a few boxes going on 3 years that I've not opened yet. Same with some CC. But 3-5 weeks minimum on a new purchase to acclimate

Bill Cosby has a guy who rotates each individual cigar for him so that they age evenly.

i have 3 large tupperdors and a desktop and i physically rotate and inspect the cigars every ~2 months.

all stay at rh ~66-67 and temp ~65

in theory the on deck dry box, "wet" long term, etc seems like a decent idea but just isnt for me at this time

I have a 150 count 'display humidor' as ready-service locker. Three coolers in basement; Cuban; non Cuban good stuff; fishing/yard/every day stuff

I've got 3 desktop humidors, one small 50 ct, and 2 larger 100ish. In the small 50, I keep all the one offs that don't fit a theme or something I'm really trying to smoke in the near future. Its my easy grab an go. In the other 2 humidors, I've got cigars sorted by brand. All my fuente, tatauaje, dc, ashton, and I think alec Bradley singles are in one. The other contains all my aj Fernandez blends. FInally I've got a 150 ct cooler. Bottom is all boxes in no particular order, I've got 4 trays across the top sorted by brand and then on top of the trays I've got a **** ton of 5 finger bags. Most of my 5ers end up in the top here. or other stuff is sorted by brand in the bags/trays.

I need a better system.... I was looking at converting a closet into a humidor. I don't really track age. I rarely smoke ROTT. If something tastes too green or is too wet, I just wait longer before having another.

Wherever they fit. All of my boxes have dates stamped on the bottom and I try to label all of the singles. I never did this but I know some people who quarantine cigars for tobacco Beatles before putting them in their general storage for aging.

VERY simplistic answer is that if you properly care for your cigars, you shouldn't have to worry about beetles in your non-Cuban cigars. MOST have already been flash-frozen since being rolled. Some question as to how much risk there is for Cubans.

LOTS of nuances, facts and anecdotal stories shad the above sentences greatly. If you worry or can't accept the risk of beetles, there is almost zero cost/risk associated with freezing your cigars upon receipt. If you invest greatly (time and/or money) in Cuban cigars, it might be considered foolhardy not to. Even for non-Cubans, good luck getting details on whether a particular box has been flash frozen and, if so, at what temps and for how long, etc.

.....Buddy won a NewAir CC-300, BIG, 400+ count humidor; brought to me to use as he only keep 10 -20 on hand; anyone with pros and cons of keeping 80 - 100 sticks in such a large unit???

Yeah your probably correct, I was thinking more display style with single row shelves.

And once a year, I attach a rotisserie motor and let it run for about an hour.

2000 ct tower holds about 45-50 boxes plus single trays for immediate smoking 65% beads and fan
1500 ct end table is used for longer term storage almost all boxes with one large drawer 65% beads and fan
300 ct holds only singles and occasional 5ers 65% beads no fan
100 ct is only used to quarantine anything I'm not sure of upon arrival

All Cubans are sent to the freezer upon arrival.

I don't rotate much but do bring some boxes to the front when I see something I forgot about.
