Legendary rock singer Meat Loaf is in stable condition after he collapsed on stage Thursday during a performance in Canada, his rep told FOX411.

A spokesman for Alberta Health Services said a patient was transported from Edmonton's Jubilee Auditorium to a hospital, but declined to identify the patient.

Lindsay Sundmark told the Edmonton Journal she saw Meat Loaf collapse.

“He was performing ‘I Would Do Anything For Love,’ and all of a sudden in the middle of it he collapsed right on stage. We weren’t sure at first whether it was part of the act or it was something for real,” she said.

Sundmark said Meat Loaf was being transported to a hospital around 10 p.m. local time. Fans were told to clear the venue.

I Saw him recently on a cheap .25 cent
VHS movie with William H. MACY and
a famous blond actress about
Jewish discrimination during WWII
and MEATLOAF was in it...
He was surprisingly good...he has acted a lot in but parts and cameo's for years...
In the movie he was a racist...

The credits had him listed as:

MEATLOAF-A-DAY

I for one wish Mr. Meatloaf-A-day a fine recovery
And a short rest up and back on tour.

He is a multi-talented original ARTIST of various
Genre and not many can do both.

Jennifer Lopez is the only other accomplished comparison, She acts better than almost any current top actress , IMHO...

Watching her and Ray Liotta this past season was
A real treat...fuggin' basic GUT like acting at it's core
On a lighter order than other similar shows storylines.
